The Research Center for College English Teaching now has three professors, nine associate professors, among which two are doctoral students. Taking “College English Curriculum Requirements” by Ministry of Education as its guideline, the Center carries out academic activities relevant to college English teaching and research. Under the Center there are several research branches which undertake respectively the research on learning motivation, learning strategy, teaching methodology, means of teaching and teaching models. The research results provide scientific basis for promoting the research and improving the effect of college English teaching, and cultivating the language proficiency of non-English major of CCNU.
