Founded by School of Foreign Languages of CCNU, made up of the teachers in the English Department whose fields of study are English teaching and teacher education, the Research Center for Teacher Education is an unofficial and non-profit organization for teacher education and academic research. The Center, which has five professors and six associate professors, aims at developing a team with solid professional knowledge and team spirit so as to provide a supporting platform offering resources and help for the development of the members of the Center, thus promoting its scientific research, the training of in-service teachers, and the training and cultivation of normal school students. The basic tasks of the Center are to carry out academic research and exchange, raise its overall level, and extend its influence so as to contribute to improving the quality of in-service teachers and normal school students.
