 Hello, everyone, welcome to World Highlights from CCNU English Press Corps. Today let’s have a look at the French Election. Recently French is holding a new round of presidential election. A remarkable feature of this election is that a large amount of people give up their rights to vote. On the one hand, it reveals the careless attitude of the public to political life. On the other hand, we can see the new government is not so welcomed by French people. As we know, French is now in the Fifth Republic, which is established in 1958. With the governance for more than half a century, many conflicts have been accumulated, which lead the whole state into a dilemma. The increasing wave of protests is the evidence.
