Recently, monograph China's Township System: Governance and Reform written by professor Wu Licai from School of Political and International Relations has been published by World Scientific Publishing Co Pte Ltd. This book was also selected in Classic China International Publishing Project of 2012.
Professor Wu Licai has been engaged in the study of local governance for a long time. In his monograph, a systematic and empirical study of the township system in contemporary China is made, which provides people with insight and new understanding towards China's township system.
